Resilient Kids

This week I'm teaching the kids about being resilient. Not giving up at first chance, but rather finding strength through tough times. Here is one of the drills I put the kids through, a pill up! 10 1/2 kids on top of 1. Panic, fear and the urge to give up comes fast in these situations but with me close and talking them through mindset and breathing they all made it. The highest level of Teaching exists when a teacher teaches who they are, and gives students things they wish they had.

You can do a lot of things in life, but accomplish nothing without resiliency. I teach a lot of things at Youth Systema Program at FightClub, deep and special things, but mostly I imagine the future.

An old Greek proverb best sums it up best. "A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.”
